2 Ways to Test Your Spiritual Mastery

If you want to test how far you’ve come on your path to spiritual mastery, there are two things that will let you know real fast: Get snowbound with your relatives or have something valuable stolen.

I’ve never been snowbound with relatives, so I can’t speak about that, but no matter how ‘spiritual’ I feel, if something gets lost – whether by theft or as a result of my own ignorance – I feel like part of me is missing… and I’ve been extremely lucky. I can’t begin to imagine how it would feel if it wasn’t something missing – but someone.
